Standing at an amazing 7 ft 4 inches (2.24m), Afeez Agoro Oladimeji is definitely on the list of the tallest people in the world.

Though he is not the tallest in the world, he is the tallest in Nigeria and calls himself the ‘Giant of Nigeria.’

Afeez says, ‘I am a giant and a celebrity in my world. Wherever I go, people want to take pictures with me and interact with me.’

Born in the city of Sabo Yaba, Lagos State, Nigeria on 13 December 1975 as the last child of three children, Afeez is surprisingly the only one with this kind of height in his family.

‘I consider my height as a blessing from God because no one in my family is as tall as I am.’

Afeez’s height generally scares a lot of people who see him and it has also given him challenges.

Key of these challenges is the inability of the giant to commute using public transport and also to find clothes and shoes that are his size.

‘I can’t travel on public transport like everyone else, so I have to rely on Uber to commute to places. My clothes and shoes are also customised. You never find my sizes on the market, so whenever I come to the market, they hike the prices of the things I want to buy.’

In spite of these challenges, there have been opportunities that have come with his height. So many people have taken pictures with Afeez and he is now considered a celebrity and swamped like all others when he goes out to town.

Afeez Agoro Oladimeji is now a model, actor and a reality TV Show Star and now more people admire him than run from him.
